1. The Works.  Edmonton, AB.  June 2013.

The Works Art & Design Festival is one of the quintessential Churchill Square summer festivals that takes hold of the City of Champions.  Although it calls Churchill it’s base, this visual arts festival actually has impromptu exhibitions from various Canadian artists at places all over Downtown Edmonton.

Although the main site is a bit less extravagant compared to Cariwest, Taste of Edmonton, or the Street Performers Festival, I quite enjoy taking in the Works.  It has a nice community feel to it.  I like being surrounded by like-minded, artistic types of all sorts as well as seeing people of all backgrounds taking in the art.
